How it works

Pick a type at the top — a link, WiFi network, contact card, email, phone number, text message, or WhatsApp chat — fill in the fields, and QRSnap draws the QR code instantly, right in your browser. Customize the colors, dot shape, and corner style, optionally drop in a logo, then download it as a PNG or SVG image. There's no server round-trip anywhere in that process — it all happens on your device using JavaScript.

Why it's private

Most free QR generators ask for an email address, drop tracking cookies, or route your link through their own redirect service so they can watch who scans it. QRSnap doesn't do any of that. What you type — and any logo you upload — never leaves your browser, there's no account to create, and the page doesn't run analytics or tracking scripts. You can close the tab and nothing is kept.

About QRSnap

QRSnap is a small, independent tool built for anyone who's been annoyed by QR generators that demand a signup, stamp a watermark on your code, or bury the download button behind a paywall. It's free, it's fast, and it stays out of your way. Questions or feedback are always welcome at contact@qrsnap.org.

Frequently asked questions

Is QRSnap really free?

Yes. There's no paywall, no premium tier, and no limit on how many QR codes you can create or download.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There's no signup, no email address, and no login. Open the page and make a QR code.

Does QRSnap track or store my data?

No. QR codes are generated entirely in your browser — whatever you type is never sent to a server, logged, or stored anywhere. QRSnap doesn't use tracking cookies or analytics.

Can I add my logo to a QR code?

Yes. Upload an image in the Customize section and it's embedded in the center of the code. The logo is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded anywhere — and error correction is automatically boosted so the code still scans reliably.

What can I turn into a QR code?

A link or plain text, a WiFi network, a contact card, an email, a phone number, a text message, or a WhatsApp chat — pick the type above and fill in the fields.

Can I use the QR codes commercially?

Yes. Every code you generate is yours to use however you like, with no watermark and no attribution required.
